What it does
1001 Fonts is a font-discovery site with category browsing, custom sample text and a commercial-free filter. It supports sorting by date, popularity or style count and sharing the current preview settings.
1001 Fonts can turn a broad brief into a more precise comparison. Categories separate weight, width, period, occasion and text size. Enter your title in the custom sample field, set a common size, and sort by popularity or number of styles. Permalink to these settings gives you a shareable link to the same preview setup.
Open a family for its Waterfall size samples, Character Map, file formats and language list. The Jegore page, for example, separates regular and italic files and explicitly marks them free for personal use but not commercial work. Browsing and downloads are free, while rights belong to each font's own agreement. Use the Commercial free filter to narrow a paid-project shortlist, then read the selected family's licence rather than extending that permission to the whole catalog.
