What it does

15Five connects performance reviews, goals, development plans and manager conversations, with a separate employee-engagement product. Shared one-to-one agendas hold talking points and action items that either participant can add. Annual subscriptions start at USD 4 per user per month for Engage or USD 11 for Perform, with manager coaching and other additions priced separately.

The plan decision in 15Five starts with the process to be run:

Plan USD per user per month, billed annually Main scope
Engage 4 Engagement surveys, targeted assessments, heat maps and action planning
Perform 11 Performance reviews, goals, feedback and career-development tools
Total Platform 16 Engage and Perform, with selected manager-training content

One-to-one meetings give development discussions a continuing place in the manager's routine. Either participant can add talking points and action items to the shared agenda. Meetings can use Google Calendar or be scheduled without that connection. An administrator must enable the feature for the organization first.

Manager coaching, Kona Notetaker, Kona Coach and compensation products have separate charges. The regular sign-in page accepts email and password, Google or the employer's configured company login. For a team joining an existing account, access is arranged through that organization.

Strengths

  • Shared agendas let employees and managers both contribute to a discussion
  • Action items connect development conversations with follow-up work
  • Engagement and performance can be purchased separately or together

Watch out for

  • Engage alone does not include the main performance-review toolkit
  • Manager coaching, Kona and compensation products add separate charges

Best for

  • HR teams connecting formal reviews with recurring manager and employee conversations
