What it does
SyncBack is a Windows backup and synchronization family with profile scheduling, previews and edition-dependent remote-storage support.
Choose a Windows edition and a profile type before scheduling the job. Backup adds missing files and replaces older destination copies while keeping destination-only files; Mirror also deletes those destination-only files. Sync works in both directions, and SE/Pro add Intelligent Sync history. A simulated run scans and logs proposed actions without changing files, allowing the Differences view to expose replacements or deletions. Free supports FTP, SE adds FTPS, and Pro adds SFTP and broad cloud support. SyncBack Touch extends remote-device access for SE/Pro rather than making the main application a native Mac or Linux client.
Strengths
- Detailed edition comparison and profile previews
Watch out for
- SFTP and broad cloud support require the appropriate paid edition
