What it does
3dsky is a 3D asset library centred on architectural visualization. It organizes furniture, lighting, decoration and other scene components with format and renderer filters. Registration provides three FREE-model downloads daily; PRO assets require a separate purchase or credits.
3dsky concentrates on architectural scene components: furniture, lights, curtains, decoration, plants and kitchen or bathroom fittings. Renderer and file-combination routes include V-Ray, Corona, 3ds Max with FBX, and 3ds Max with OBJ.
Registered users can download three FREE models per day. Repeat downloads count again, and the allowance resets at midnight UTC+3. A paid allowance raises that limit to 30 FREE models daily; it does not include PRO models.
PRO assets can be purchased through the cart or obtained with credits. One credit costs USD 7 and covers one PRO model, with a minimum purchase of two credits. Purchased PRO files remain available for unlimited repeat downloads from the model page or purchase history.
After download, unpack the archive, place its textures in the appropriate texture folder and import the model into the scene. The prescribed scene units are millimetres. The asset licence covers permitted derivative work and modification, but ownership of the model does not transfer. Raw files cannot be redistributed as a model collection; a client who needs their own source-model use may need a separate licence.
Strengths
- Renderer and file-combination routes suit architectural production.
- Purchased PRO models can be downloaded again without spending another credit.
Watch out for
- The increased FREE allowance does not include PRO models.
- Repeated FREE downloads consume the daily allowance.
Best for
- Architectural visualization asset sourcing
- Building furniture and decoration shortlists
