What it does
AbanteCart is a self-hosted ecommerce application for storefronts, products, orders and customers. It supports multiple stores from one administration area, stock-tracked product options, a reusable media library and physical or digital catalogues.
Decide which product options should be shared globally and which belong only to one item in AbanteCart. Stock tracking and option-specific media suit size or colour choices; text fields and file uploads can collect personalisation details.
Separate storefronts can retain their own themes, products, categories and payment settings within one administration area. Content Vault keeps earlier descriptions, banners and HTML content for restoration after an editorial change.
Give a colleague access
Open System > Users > Add New User. Enter the person's name, email, username and password, select the user group that matches their responsibilities, enable the account and save. That group controls which administration areas they can use. Each administrator can choose notifications for relevant store events; SMS alerts require a configured SMS Driver extension.
The self-hosted application is free under OSL 3.0, without software subscription or transaction fees. Hosting and optional services remain separate. Digital-product licence management and enhanced search integrations require extensions.
