What it does
ABEMA groups television schedules and on-demand genres, including anime, sport, drama, variety and pay-per-view programming.
Choose between ABEMA's free programmes, Premium membership and separately ticketed live events. The paid-plan guide distinguishes Premium from its advertising-supported version and lists additional partner-content plans. A general membership should not be treated as an all-inclusive live-event pass.
PPV events are purchased individually whether or not you have a paid plan. Their own pages determine purchase windows, replay periods and overseas eligibility, and some viewing devices differ from purchase devices. ABEMA permits overseas use in some regions, but country and programme restrictions remain; its current overseas guide also says VPN viewing is unsupported.
Strengths
- The official guides distinguish free content, paid memberships and separately purchased events.
Watch out for
- PPV events require separate purchases and have event-specific viewing windows and device rules.
- Overseas access depends on the country and programme; VPN viewing is unsupported.
