What it does

Abicart provides storefronts, catalog management and order tools. Go, Plus and Pro share stock reservation, while higher plans add customer groups, catalog filters and connected physical-store operations.

Putting an item in a cart does not reserve it in Abicart. With reservation enabled, stock is held for ten minutes when the shopper finalizes checkout. Someone can therefore add the last item to a cart and still find it unavailable before completing the purchase.

Open Assortment > Settings, enable Reserve item inventory and save. Inventory management must also be enabled, the product needs a stock balance, and ordering while out of stock must be disabled. These settings work together; switching on reservation alone is not enough.

Plan Selected scope
Go Core store, variants, multiple languages/currencies and API access
Plus Adds customer groups, tiered prices, product filters and B2B selling
Pro Adds connected physical stores, multishop tools and market-specific pricing

Stock reservation is available in all three. Subscriptions are paid quarterly or annually, and the 30-day trial can accept real orders. Choose the plan around the catalog and customer controls you need, as well as the payment term.

Store administration requires an account. The login page supports a username and password, a sign-in link, or connected Google and Facebook access.

Strengths

  • Reservation has a defined checkout trigger and ten-minute duration
  • All three plans include the stock-reservation setting

Watch out for

  • Cart contents are not reserved before checkout is finalized

Best for

  • Merchants selling limited stock who need clear checkout-reservation rules
