What it does
Ableton Live combines performance and composition workflows with MIDI editing, instruments, effects and tuning tools.
Develop a MIDI clip with note transformations or constrained generators, then arrange it on the timeline or combine clips in Session View. Alternative tunings and Max for Live extend the sound and control options, subject to the selected edition.
The Mac/Windows Suite trial requires an Ableton account and authorization. It includes saving and export for 30 days; after expiry you can open sets but cannot save or export until you install a paid edition. Check device, content-storage and edition requirements before moving a project.
