What it does
The ABC Global Book Service connects authorized libraries and organizations that serve people with print disabilities. Eligible organizations can also give their beneficiaries direct catalogue access.
For an individual reader, begin with a participating authorized organization rather than expecting an unrestricted public account. Direct beneficiary access depends on that organization being in a country that has joined the Marrakesh Treaty and implemented it in national law.
For a library, the service supports exchanging accessible digital books without a service fee. Participation requires an agreement with WIPO, catalogue information and responsibilities for handling files. Cross-border access is therefore tied to the authorized organization and applicable permissions, rather than a book simply being visible online.
An eligible organization can provide its beneficiaries with catalogue and download access through the ABC application or Dolphin EasyReader. That login is issued through the participating organization, which also accepts the beneficiary-application terms.
