What it does

The American Council on Exercise maintains a public exercise library with detailed descriptions and photographs. Entries identify targeted body areas, required equipment and difficulty, with both total-body and focused movements.

If you have the name of an exercise but need to understand its setup, open its full library entry rather than relying on the short preview. The cards identify difficulty and equipment before you commit to reading, making it easier to compare a bodyweight movement with one requiring a box, bench or specialized trainer.

Body-area browsing is more detailed than a simple arms-or-legs split, with separate muscle groups and regions. This is a movement reference rather than an automatically generated training schedule: selecting several entries does not by itself establish a complete program. ACE also sells professional education, but the exercise-library route keeps the immediate task on movement descriptions.

Strengths

  • Photographs and written steps support movement lookup.
  • Equipment and difficulty labels are visible before opening an entry.

Best for

  • Exercisers looking up the setup and equipment for a specific movement.
