What it does
Acumatica’s financial-management applications cover the general ledger, receivables, payables, cash and fixed assets. The modular range also includes project accounting, deferred revenue and multi-entity records.
Acumatica places financial accounting alongside operational applications. Project accounting follows costs and profitability, while the ledger and payables maintain the broader financial view. Expense capture, approvals, bank feeds and fixed assets can form parts of the same implementation. Generic Inquiries let users move from summary views to related transaction details.
Choose the application bundle around the records you need to connect: core accounts, projects, recurring revenue, currencies and entities. Pricing depends on those applications, expected transaction volumes and resources, and the deployment model. Adding users does not itself add a per-seat fee.
For SaaS, an Acumatica partner arranges an annual subscription and provides the organization’s access URL. The subscription starts from the invoice date, including the configuration period. Partner implementation, support and extra storage can add charges. Cancellation is at renewal after the first year, with at least 30 days’ written notice.
The SaaS FAQ also explains an integration boundary: direct ODBC database access is unavailable. Integrations use Acumatica’s APIs and application rules instead. Include the intended reporting and data connections when discussing the proposed setup.

- Project and operational records connect with core finance
- Generic Inquiries provide drill-downs to transactions
- Pricing allows unlimited users within the agreed resource level
Watch out for
- SaaS charges begin while the implementation is being configured
- SaaS database integration uses APIs rather than direct ODBC access
Best for
- Businesses linking accounting with a wider cloud ERP implementation
