What it does
Adblock Plus is a browser extension for filtering advertisements, tracking and selected malicious-site content, with free and paid features.
Adblock Plus filters page requests through browser-extension lists and settings. Acceptable Ads is enabled by default on its main desktop extensions, allowing ads that meet that program's criteria. If the goal is to block those too, clear Allow Acceptable Ads in the General settings. That choice also removes the program's route for supporting participating sites through ads. Check the browser-specific guide: mobile Safari's default differs. Cookie-banner blocking is among the separately promoted Premium features.
