What it does
AdGuard DNS is a hosted DNS service for blocking selected advertising, tracking and malicious domains and applying device-level policies.
AdGuard DNS's dashboard shows which domains individual devices request, helping an administrator apply an exception to the right device. Connect the intended devices, choose filtering rules and review the requests before broadening a block. Private AdGuard DNS requires an account. Its policy describes storing request content/status, device names and dates for the dashboard; logging can be disabled and retention configured in account settings. Public DNS is a different arrangement. The policy describes aggregate server metrics and an anonymous 24-hour domain database, rather than the account's per-device history. Neither arrangement inspects all application content.
