What it does
AdGuard Home is network-based software for filtering advertising and tracking domains across devices using a locally operated service.
AdGuard Home is useful for devices that cannot install a browser extension, such as some household IoT equipment. A network administrator operates the filtering service and points devices at it. Plan where the service runs and how devices obtain its DNS address before choosing blocklists. Keep a recovery route if the server becomes unavailable. The self-hosted arrangement gives operational control but also leaves updates, availability and backups with the person administering the network.
