What it does
Adobe After Effects builds motion graphics and visual effects through compositions, layers, animation controls and compositing tools.
Use a composition for a focused shot, title sequence or graphic treatment rather than expecting it to replace the full editorial timeline. The official guide covers nested compositions, footage interpretation, text layers and imported 3D models. Those are separate preparation choices that affect how the result can be changed later.
For finishing, the current release material describes HDR preview and colour-metadata handling. It also provides links to preview, GPU and system requirements, so check the environment before adopting a hardware-dependent workflow.
