What it does
Adobe Fresco combines raster, vector and live painting brushes with layers and motion tools. Drawing features are free on supported iPads, iPhones and Windows devices; optional paid plans add premium fonts and more cloud storage.
On iPad, choose Create New for a preset or custom canvas, or Import and Open for an existing image or PSD. Brush controls include size, flow and smoothing. Vector brushes suit scalable outlines, while live brushes simulate paint blending; Paint Inside and vector trimming help finish enclosed shapes and intersections.
Use Share > Export Image to produce a PNG, JPG, PSD or PDF. JPG export includes a quality setting. Motion work can be delivered as GIF, MP4 or a PNG sequence, with ProRes 4444 available for animation with transparency.
All brushes are included free. The free account has 5 GB of cloud storage; paid upgrades offer premium fonts and 100 GB. Internet access and registration are required for activation. Windows support depends on the device and graphics hardware, so check the system requirements before installing.
