What it does
Adobe Illustrator creates vector artwork, patterns, type treatments and brand graphics. Its drawing tools include shape combination, editable line work and precise snapping.
Illustrator's tangent and perpendicular snapping help establish clean relationships between paths. Shape combination, gradients and editable line work support illustrations that need several sizes or colour versions.
For delivery, open File > Export > Export for Screens. Select the Artboards tab, choose the artboards, set formats and scale options, then choose a destination and Export Artboard. PNG, JPEG, SVG and PDF are among the supported outputs. For individual objects, right-click the artwork, choose Collect for Export, then use the Assets tab in the same export window.
The US individual Illustrator plan is USD 22.99 per month on an annual commitment billed monthly. The seven-day trial requires an Adobe ID and converts to the selected paid plan unless cancelled. Illustrator is available on desktop, iPad and the web; the iPad app is not an iPhone version.
