What it does
Adobe Lightroom combines photo editing, organization, storage and sharing across desktop, mobile and web, with a desktop-focused Classic edition.
Choose the collection and editing workflow first: Lightroom spans desktop, mobile and web, while Classic is oriented toward desktop use. Desktop Export creates new files in a chosen local, external or network folder, with format, dimensions, quality, metadata, naming and color-space controls. Export with Previous also reuses the previous destination. Cloud album sharing is a separate decision: the documented default is Invite only, and Anyone can view creates a link accessible to whoever has it. Download, metadata and location visibility have their own switches. Free mobile editing has premium upgrades; desktop/cloud plans have separate terms. Keep an exported copy distinct from a shared album that can continue changing with later edits.
