Choose the helper for the management interface involved. The Admin Toolset covers common ping, route, DNS, port and subnet checks; WMI Tester runs custom queries and saves results, Syslog Tester sends a test message, and the MIB Walker explores SNMP-enabled devices with file export. Those are different operations with different endpoint and access requirements. The Windows tools are offered as freeware add-ons, and AdRem says it cannot provide in-depth support for them. They are distinct from deploying or licensing the larger NetCrunch monitoring platform. Use a saved diagnostic result with its target and protocol when handing the issue to another administrator.
