What it does
Advanced R is a book for R users improving programming skills and programmers who want to understand why R behaves as it does.
Choose this after you can already write R code and want a clearer model of the language. The intended audience includes programmers arriving from other languages. Keep a small executable example beside a difficult concept so the explanation is connected to observable behavior. The current site presents the second edition and links the first separately. The text uses CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, while book code is also available under MIT; worked exercise solutions are linked as a separate companion book.
