What it does

AhaSend provides API and SMTP delivery, incoming-message routing, templates and a campaign builder. Separate controls govern message content and delivery-metadata retention. The ongoing Free plan includes 1,000 emails per month and three domains, with no credit card required.

AhaSend separates the body and attachments of an email from metadata such as addresses, subject and delivery attempts. The defaults are seven days, and changing them affects future messages rather than rewriting the settings on previously sent mail.

Incoming-message routes use stored message data and require at least one day of content retention. Zero content retention is available only on eligible paid plans after approval, and would stop that routing workflow. An application processing inbound replies therefore cannot choose zero simply because it wants shorter storage.

The recurring free plan includes 1,000 emails per month, three domains and a one-to-seven-day retention range. Paid plans extend capacity and the configurable range; longer-term storage in the customer's object storage is a separate capability.

Register with a full name, work email and password to use the hosted service. Free requires no card, and its campaign builder is included.

Strengths

  • Content and delivery metadata have separate retention controls
  • Per-message overrides can differ from the account default within plan limits

Watch out for

  • Zero content retention requires approval and is incompatible with message routing
  • Retention changes apply to new email, not previously sent messages

Best for

  • Application teams needing deliberate retention choices for sent and routed email
