Separate learning a tool from learning a marketing discipline when browsing Ahrefs Academy. Its introductory SEO and blogging material can provide a foundation, while the product courses explain specific reports and workflows. Work on one topic that relates to your site, such as keyword research, and compare the explanation with the information you already have about your audience.
The beginner SEO course and How to Use Ahrefs course are free to watch without signing up. The latter targets new or existing Ahrefs users and walks through reports such as Site Explorer, Keywords Explorer and Site Audit. Watching a tool walkthrough does not establish access to the underlying paid reports, so compare your software plan before following every step.
