What it does
Aksharamukha transliterates between scripts and romanization methods, with options for script-specific orthographic conventions.
Aksharamukha converts a passage between supported scripts and romanization systems, with settings for orthographic conventions such as vowel length, gemination and nasalization. Choose the source and target systems and the spelling convention needed for the output. The project publishes a Python package separately from its hosted web interface. Its README describes lossless conversion specifically between the main Indian scripts and Sinhala; that statement should not be extended to every supported script pair. Check the target-script rendering of names and specialist terms against the convention selected.
