What it does
Alliance Bank's allianceonline mobile service provides Malaysian account balances, transaction history and ringgit payments. Quick Search retrieves previous or favourite beneficiaries, and Share Receipt saves payment summaries as PDFs. Eligible Malaysian adults can open SavePlus in the app and activate it with a RM20 transfer from another account in their name.
Return to a payee without typing everything again
Quick Search finds a previous or saved beneficiary by name, account number or payment purpose. After paying, Share Receipt saves or shares a PDF payment summary. Smart Reminder handles recurring-payment reminders and future reminders.
First installation or registration on a new phone starts a 12-hour cooling-off period from the first successful login. You can still make account inquiries while transactions are unavailable.
SavePlus opening requirements
The digital route is for Malaysians aged 18 or older with the latest MyKad identity card and another Malaysian current or savings account with online banking. It accepts new customers and existing customers without allianceonline access. Activate SavePlus by sending RM20 through DuitNow from an account in your own name; keep at least RM20 in SavePlus. Non-Malaysians apply at a branch.
Account and transaction charges
SavePlus has no account service fee. Its debit card has a RM12 annual fee. A monthly average balance of RM10,000 qualifies for the listed transaction-fee waivers; the card-fee waiver also requires the primary holder to have used the SavePlus card for more than a year. Eligible charges are reimbursed on the first of the following month.
Standard online interbank GIRO transfers cost RM0.10. DuitNow transfers of RM5,000 or less are free; larger transfers cost RM0.50, before applicable SavePlus waivers.
