Choose the record you need

In the app, open Account, then Savings / Current and select the account. Transaction History displays five months, but its download icon exports only the past month. For older downloads, use Account, View eStatement and the relevant cycle month; that archive covers 12 months. Older statements require a branch request and may carry charges. Receipts are separate, under Recent AmOnline Transactions.

View Direct Debit shows instructions once the biller processes them. Cancellation goes through the biller, because AmOnline cannot cancel the authorization.

Basic savings costs

Basic Savings Account Plus opens with RM20 and has no annual account or debit-card charge. It includes unlimited withdrawals at AmBank ATMs and bank counters, plus free electronic and monthly paper statements. Dormant savings accounts incur RM10 annually, and closing within three months costs RM20. The older fee-based Basic Savings account costs RM8 annually.

Plus is available only at branches for Malaysian citizens and permanent residents. Adults can open it themselves; under-18s use a custodial account with a parent or guardian.

Registering for AmOnline

You need an eligible AmBank account linked to a debit card, a credit card or a loan. Choose Let’s Get Started, then Register for AmOnline, and supply personal and card or loan details. Use the debit-card number when you have one.

The verification step uses both registered contact channels: an SMS pairing phrase unlocks a PDF sent by email, and the code inside that PDF is entered in the app. Incorrect phone or email details must first be updated at a branch.
