What it does
Amnezia's app can create a VPN on a server you control, or connect to its free and paid provider services using censorship-oriented protocol options.
Amnezia offers three access models. Its self-hosted app installs VPN services on a server you control; Premium supplies managed access for all websites; Free targets selected blocked sites in countries with active restrictions.
For self-hosting, the app is free but you pay for the VPS and maintain it. The project lists AmneziaWG and Xray-based options. It says the server address and credentials entered for setup stay on your device.
Managed Free and Premium access has a different data scope. The current policy processes the connecting IP for availability, security and stability, and may retain it in locations needing additional technical measures. It excludes browsing history, traffic destinations and content from collection. These are the provider's stated practices; the protocol choices do not guarantee access through a particular network filter.
