What it does
Amped Studio combines virtual instruments, audio editing, automation and collaborative project links.
Record a voice or play a MIDI part in the browser, edit notes and audio, then add effects or automation. Starter Free is limited to five projects and sixteen tracks, with MP3 audio export; the reviewed paid tiers add WAV export and external VST3 support.
For your own plugins, VST Remote needs a separate Windows/Mac host app running on the computer where those plugins are installed. Add VST Remote to a track, start that companion and reload the browser. The plugins process locally; this route requires more setup than the built-in browser instruments.
