What it does
ANP Foto supplies news, historical and creative imagery to businesses and institutions. Its picture bank combines event dossiers with filters for subjects, people, suppliers and composition.
Use the advanced search to narrow results by source, person, date or composition. It also has filters for copy space, aerial views and model-released images. For foreign subjects, try English keywords: overseas agencies usually supply English captions.
Searching does not need an account, but ordering does. Registered customers add an image to the shopping cart and describe its use; an unregistered visitor can request a quote beside the photo. Price depends on publication type, reach, placement and licence duration.
Downloads become available after a price agreement, although some pictures still need supplier clearance. Publication requires written permission and a fee. ANP sends a PDF invoice for bank-transfer payment and does not accept credit cards. Private individuals can order prints through its partner, but ANP does not supply them with digital files.
Strengths
- Filters include copy space, composition and named people.
- A quote can be requested before creating an ordering account.
Watch out for
- Digital-file supply is limited to businesses and institutions.
- Publication always requires a fee and written permission.
Best for
- Dutch publishers researching news and contextual photographs
