What it does
Ansel manages photo collections and applies revisable corrections to RAW photographs and film scans, with color calibration and detail tools.
Ansel keeps an editing history and builds the finished image during export. Select the photographs, choose a disk destination and format, then decide what a filename conflict should do: create a unique name, overwrite or skip. The overwrite confirmation is for the job rather than each file, and can be disabled in preferences. Export also controls size, colour profile and included metadata. Keep the RAW inputs and XMP sidecars when backing up edits; the manual warns that embedding development history in an exported image can fail silently and is not a backup strategy. Camera support is another check for a new setup, since the project warns that recent models may take time to support.
