What it does
Answer Socrates combines question discovery, keyword clustering and search metrics with additional AI-search monitoring tools. A free tier supports limited research; paid plans expand searches, projects and integration access.
AnswerSocrates groups search ideas into questions, comparisons, prepositions and autocomplete suggestions. Its search form uses a seed topic, country and language. Recursive searches extend an initial idea, while clustering groups related terms for content planning.
Free account limits
Free access includes three keyword searches and one recursive search per day, 500 clustering credits per month and one CSV download per month. It does not include search metrics, projects or the LLM tracker, which follows visibility in AI answers.
Paid plans increase those allowances and add metrics and unlimited CSV downloads. API access starts on Seneca; higher tiers add larger API and AI-tracking limits, with team seats on the larger plans. The free allowance can cover occasional idea gathering, but the single monthly CSV download is a practical constraint when preparing several briefs.
Strengths
- Combines question discovery with clustering.
- Paid tiers add search metrics and integration options.
Watch out for
- Free access allows one CSV download per month and excludes search metrics.
Best for
- Publishers turning overlapping question ideas into a focused content plan
