What it does
AppMockUp Studio is a browser tool for preparing App Store and Google Play images. Its templates combine app captures with device frames, titles, icons and backgrounds, including panoramas that continue across several screenshots. The editor is free without an account, with optional premium templates.
Drag a set of captures onto Add Screenshot or an empty part of the stage. In the dialog, choose Device screen to place each image inside a fresh screenshot's device, or Background to put it behind the other layers. One image creates one Main Screenshot, with a limit of ten per project.
Double-click a title to edit it on the canvas. Frames can be resized, rotated and positioned, and a panoramic background adjusts as screenshots are added or removed.
For a complete set, open Export, choose the devices, format and quality, and inspect the folder-and-filename preview. Download a ZIP containing PNG, JPEG or WebP files. An individual Instance Screenshot can also be exported from its right-click menu.
Save an editable .mockup file regularly. AppMockUp has no autosave, and closing or refreshing the page loses changes since the last manual save.
Commercial screenshots are permitted. A purchased premium template covers one app, including its devices, languages and later updates; another app needs another purchase.
Strengths
- A batch of newly created screenshots can be undone in one step.
- The store preview shows the sequence in App Store or Google Play context before export.
Watch out for
- Template artwork can appear in finished screenshots but cannot be extracted and redistributed as standalone assets.
Best for
- Independent app developers preparing store images
