What it does
AppIcon by Lance offers a public app-icon generator and resizer with PNG output and platform-specific asset packaging.
AppIcon by Lance takes a visual brief and produces an app icon with platform-specific files. If the artwork already exists, the separate resizer accepts a 1024px square PNG or JPG and packages the needed variants instead of generating a new design.
Choose the target platforms and download the ZIP. Apple output includes an AppIcon.appiconset and Contents.json for Xcode; Android output includes density-specific launcher images and a Play Store image. The resizer also exposes a Liquid Glass icon option. This is useful at the handoff between finished artwork and an app project's asset folders.
The public generator and resizer are free without signup or watermarks. Their packaging workflow does not replace editing the master artwork, and the described master image is PNG. A Lance MCP integration offers an additional access route for coding agents.
