What it does

Apple Fitness+ offers workout and meditation sessions, with activity types including strength, HIIT and yoga. It provides custom plans, recommendations and supported live metrics through Apple devices and compatible heart-rate equipment.

Use the plan features when you want a weekly arrangement rather than choosing a video from scratch each day. Plans can be organized around activities, durations, trainers and music. Individual sessions offer another route when only a short workout fits the day.

The service lists sessions from five to 45 minutes and adds material weekly. Live metric features depend on supported equipment, so check your device setup before treating those displays as part of every session. Access is subscription-based after any applicable introductory offer. The equipment promotion and the ordinary trial have separate eligibility conditions.

Availability is limited to the countries listed on Apple's Fitness+ page. An Apple Watch is one way to add live metrics; the page also names AirPods Pro 3 and compatible Bluetooth heart-rate monitors. For iPhone-only use, Apple lists an iPhone 8 with iOS 16.1 or newer. An older supported setup pairs an iPhone 6s running iOS 14.3 or newer with Apple Watch Series 3 and watchOS 7.2 or newer.

Strengths

  • Custom plans organize sessions around a chosen schedule.
  • Several workout types and meditation share the same service.

Watch out for

  • Live metric features depend on supported equipment.
  • Ongoing access uses a subscription after any eligible trial.

Best for

  • Apple users who want planned video workouts and meditation sessions.
