What it does
Apple TV is Apple's subscription service for original films and series. It can be watched through the Apple TV app on supported devices or through its web viewing site.
Choose Apple TV inside the Apple TV app, or use tv.apple.com, for the Originals subscription. A subscription does not include the app's third-party channels or films sold as rentals and purchases. The US product page describes Family Sharing for up to six people and downloads of Apple Originals to Apple devices. These are separate from simply having the TV app installed. Apple's country matrix distinguishes app access, the subscription and purchases, while live sports rights require a country-specific check.
Strengths
- Apple lists viewing through its app and a web route.
- Family Sharing supports a household subscription.
