What it does
Motion is Apple's application for designing animated titles, transitions and effects, including 2D, 3D and 360-degree graphics.
Build a title, transition or effect with layers and keyframes, then publish it to Final Cut Pro. Expose the parameters the editor should change, or use rigs to control several together. Motion's templates can include multiple aspect ratios so the editing project selects the appropriate layout.
Motion is a Mac application, included in Creator Studio or available as a separate one-time Mac purchase. The inspected requirements specify macOS 15.6 or later, 8 GB memory and a Metal-capable graphics card for Intel Macs. That graphics-design role is distinct from assembling the main edit in Final Cut Pro.
