What it does
KCalc provides scientific, logical and statistical calculations within the KDE application collection.
KCalc offers scientific, numeral-system and statistics modes on Linux under GPL-2.0-or-later. The linked Applications 16.08 handbook describes Enter or equals sending the answer to a results stack, navigated with Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+Z. Ctrl+C copies the displayed number; pasted text must be a valid floating-point number. In statistics mode, enter each value with Dat, then recall count, mean or median; separate controls clear the last datum or the whole data store. The active-session history has its own display and clearing controls. User-defined precision and keyboard shortcuts support repeated desktop work.
Strengths
- Results stack recalls previous calculations
- Scientific, logical and statistical operations
Best for
