What it does

Appstle Subscriptions adds recurring and prepaid purchases to Shopify. Existing contracts normally retain their agreed product prices when the store catalog changes. Merchants can edit selected contracts or enable automatic synchronization.

Choose which subscribers receive a price change

For one contract, open Subscriptions, select its ID and use the product's three-dot menu > Edit Price. For several, select their IDs and choose Update Product Prices from the right-hand menu.

To apply future catalog changes automatically, open Shop Settings > Automatic Updates and enable Sync product prices with store catalog. Existing contract prices update when the Shopify base price changes. SKU synchronization is separate: changed SKUs appear on future recurring orders. Decide whether current subscribers should keep their original price before enabling either setting.

Shopify plan limits

All amounts are USD. The monthly option is billed every 30 days; annual totals are paid yearly.

Plan Monthly option Annual total Monthly subscription-revenue limit
Free 0 Free 500
Starter 10 96 5,000
Business 30 288 15,000
Business Premium 100 960 100,000

Starter adds manual subscriptions and loyalty tools. Business adds bundles and retention controls; Business Premium adds automatic price updates and address synchronization. Larger stores can ask about enterprise access. Paid plans offer a 14-day trial, and Appstle lists no transaction fee.

Merchants sign in to the Appstle dashboard to manage contracts. For Bulk Automation on Business Premium or above, Appstle recommends no more than 200 contracts per run to avoid delays or errors.

Strengths

  • Selected contracts can be repriced without changing every subscriber
  • Price and SKU synchronization have separate controls

Watch out for

  • Automatic catalog-price synchronization requires Business Premium
  • Bulk Automation runs above 200 contracts may encounter delays or errors

Best for

  • Shopify merchants maintaining recurring orders through catalog changes
