What it does
Arcane Type Foundry publishes Alanna Munro’s variable and display fonts, including Tofino, Stornoway and Kyoshi. It offers full-featured trials, perpetual commercial licences and a free academic licence for eligible students and educators.
Kyoshi shows why the font format can matter as much as the style. Its eight pixel treatments have ordinary and color versions. The download includes COLRv0 color fonts for browsers and Affinity applications; Arcane asks Adobe users to request SVG color files. Its feature examples include emoticon ligatures and fractions, with a PDF specimen and a language list for closer inspection.
Current commercial licensing has two bundles. Core covers desktop work, logos, social-media images and self-hosted websites. Extended adds app, software and hardware embedding plus broadcasting. Price depends on the client's employee count and country at purchase; later company growth does not require a larger tier. The commercial grant is perpetual.
To evaluate a family, select it on Trial Fonts and enter your name and email. Trials include the full characters and features but cannot be used for delivered or published work. A separate free education licence is available to current students and teachers for academic work, using an institutional email at checkout. It does not cover commercial projects.
