What it does

Arc helps developers, designers, marketers and other professionals find freelance and full-time remote roles. Its talent service combines a profile, optional progression through vetting, matched opportunities and contact with hiring managers.

Choose the work arrangement first. Arc distinguishes flexible part-time and full-time freelance contracts from permanent employment, and its candidate page describes matching with US-based startups and technology companies. The freelance route uses a preferred hourly rate and includes contract and payment logistics.

Vetting assesses communication and domain expertise before direct recommendations to employers. Arc says professionals with at least five years of industry experience and strong English communication tend to be best suited to that process. Talent partners provide support during search, interviews and negotiation, with continued support after a role or contract starts. The candidate FAQ explicitly states there is no charge to use Arc or when hired through it. A remote label still needs to be read with the particular employer’s location and arrangement requirements.

Strengths

  • Clearly separates freelance contracts from full-time employment
  • States that candidates are not charged for use or a resulting hire

Best for

  • Experienced professionals seeking matched remote technical or business work
