What it does
Arco Design provides React components, customizable design tokens and related design resources. Its official repository links component documentation, theme tooling and a Figma component library.
Arco Design’s React package combines application components with a theme system based on design tokens. Install @arco-design/web-react, import the required component and include @arco-design/web-react/dist/css/arco.css. The repository’s starter example renders a Button with a secondary treatment.
Two theme routes are documented: change tokens through less-loader or use Design Lab to create and manage a theme. The ecosystem also links a Figma component library, a material library for reusable modules, and Arco Pro application starters. The components are written in TypeScript.
The React component library is free under MIT and its public npm setup needs no account. Keep the component import and stylesheet together when following the example; importing the React control alone does not include that stylesheet.
Strengths
- Design tokens and theme tooling support shared customization.
- Official links connect coded components with a Figma library.
- The component library includes TypeScript definitions.
Watch out for
- The documented React setup requires the library stylesheet in addition to component imports.
Best for
- Teams developing themed React application interfaces
