What it does
Arkitype Studio creates retail fonts and custom typography for brands. Its catalog separates sans, serif, display, slab, monospaced and variable designs, while its studio services include wordmarks and type strategy.
Use the Typefaces filters to narrow the style, then switch between Grid and List to compare family sizes. The variable category contains different kinds of movement: Heidth changes height and width, while Protrakt changes weight and width. Those are useful distinctions when a headline has to fit an unusually tall or wide space.
Open a family page for its specimens and software requirements. Heidth needs software that supports variable fonts. Protrakt also offers nine fixed widths for work without variable-font controls, plus alternate characters for changing individual letters. The examples help establish the visual range; they do not replace checking the licence for the intended use.
For a commissioned identity, Arkitype offers work from early type direction through a bespoke type system, as well as logo and wordmark design. The catalog and studio pages are useful for building a brief, but ask for the relevant files, trial terms and production licence before committing to a family.
