What it does

Artboard Studio offers mockups for device, apparel, packaging, print and branding presentations. Images or videos can be placed on mockup surfaces in its browser editor or through the Figma plugin. Earlier accounts and projects remain accessible through the Legacy version.

For a Figma project, install Artboard Mockups and log in. Import an item from the plugin: it arrives with an empty frame. Put your design in that frame and click Render selected frame. The rendered mockup can stay in the project or use Figma's export controls.

The browser editor also requires sign-in. It exports PNG, JPEG and WebP images, plus MP4 and WebM videos. Select Legacy version from the homepage when returning to an older account's projects.

A limited free collection is available. The paid choices include:

Plan Payment and access
Lite Subscription with annual billing available
Pro Subscription, including unlimited image and video exports
Lifetime Mockup One payment without recurring charges

Commercial licences are attached to the product or service being promoted. Several projects for one commercial product can share its licence; confirm coverage when using mockups for different products.

Strengths

  • An Adobe Express add-on provides another route from existing design work.
  • Team administration can add or remove seats across the app and Figma plugin.

Watch out for

  • Free use carries a personal licence; commercial work requires qualifying paid access.
  • Preview thumbnails and presentation images are not downloadable assets to reuse in your own work.

Best for

  • Preparing mockup scenes for design case studies and client presentations
