What it does
ART is a RAW processor with a revised processing pipeline, local editing masks, XMP metadata support and persistent snapshots.
ART keeps RAW edits separately from the input and renders a finished file when you export. Its quick start moves from the file browser to exposure, sharpening and geometry controls, then sends the photograph to the queue; the example writes a JPEG into a new subfolder beside the source. Edits are saved automatically in sidecars so you can return later. ART uses .arp processing profiles, with persistent snapshots for alternative looks; optional XMP handling carries ratings and colour labels. Keep those roles separate when exchanging work: XMP metadata is not the same thing as the ART processing profile needed for its particular rendering.
