What it does
Dexed models Yamaha DX7 synthesis and can manage compatible instrument patches through SysEx.
Use Dexed as a DX7-style instrument or as a DX7/TX7 patch librarian. Put compatible SysEx files in its cartridge directory, found through CART > SHOW DIR, then load patches in the cartridge browser. It can save programs and send them to compatible hardware through its context menu.
The panel exposes 144 automatable DX7 parameters. Match the plugin format and MIDI routing to your host, and verify the target instrument before sending patches; its experimental engine modes model different arithmetic behavior.
