What it does

Ashampoo PDF Pro combines text editing, optical character recognition, document comparison, interactive forms, and PDF conversion. Its virtual printer creates PDFs from print-enabled Windows applications.

The current Pro5 creates a PDF by selecting the Ashampoo virtual printer in a Windows application's Print dialog; optional image downsampling reduces output size. Drop two PDFs into the editor to start a comparison, or use OCR before exporting a scan to Word, HTML, EPUB, JPG or RTF. Tabs, separate windows and a shared workspace offer different ways to handle several documents. Pro5 needs Windows 10 or 11 x64, Internet activation and recurring licence checks. The lifetime licence is sold alongside a separate upgrade offer for older versions.
