What it does
AstroGrep is a Windows grep utility with regular-expression search, context display, printing and remembered search paths.
AstroGrep searches Windows folders recursively, with file-type, whole-word and .NET regular-expression controls. Use the context lines or full-file preview to judge a match before opening it in an external editor, which can jump to the line where supported. Selected or complete results can be saved or printed for review. Text replacement and PDF, archive and Word searching are listed as possible future features, so choose another workflow if those are required. The published tool is free and open source.
