What it does
atipo foundry offers retail font families, custom type work and suggested font pairings. Many families include a free style, with complete families offered on a pay-what-you-want basis. Desktop and webfont files have separate licences, including commercial-use rights and specific installation or website limits.
Selected catalogue entries offer a free weight, such as Medium or Regular, while the complete family uses a pay-what-you-want purchase. The free selection varies by family, so use the offer shown beside that family rather than assuming every style is free.
The desktop licence allows personal and commercial design work, including logos, on up to five workstations at one location. It supplies OpenType files and permits specified document embedding, but prohibits redistribution, modification of the font software and conversion into webfonts.
The webfont licence supplies WOFF2 and TTF files for one website with unlimited pageviews and no renewal. Those files cannot be installed as desktop fonts; designers who need local installation require desktop coverage. App, game, broadcasting and larger licences are arranged with the foundry.
