AuthoredUp lets the writer inspect a LinkedIn post as it will appear in the feed, including the point where See more hides the rest of the text. Desktop and mobile previews, plus light and dark views, make that a more specific check than counting characters. For a technical explanation, ensure the opening establishes the subject before the fold hides the supporting detail.

Drafts can be tagged and moved through stages, while reusable snippets hold recurring text. A read-only link lets a colleague or client inspect a draft without an AuthoredUp account; the writer can later regenerate or disable that link. The published-content table can be filtered by account, format or tags when planning a follow-up to earlier work.

The web platform handles editing and drafts, while scheduling runs through the extension. Some media and post types also publish through that route. Individual includes one profile connection; the Business arrangement starts from three profiles and adds collaboration and team analytics. The AI Coauthor remains in closed beta.

To start, choose Individual or Business and register with your email, name and password; Business also asks for an organization name. Enter the confirmation code from the verification email, install the Chrome extension, then open LinkedIn and click the AuthoredUp badge to connect your profile. Individual costs USD 19.95 per month. Business costs USD 14.95 per connected profile per month, with a three-profile minimum; company pages you administer are included. Annual billing is also available. The trial stops after 14 days without charging you if you have not subscribed.
