What it does

Avast Premium VPN, presented at the former SecureLine product URL, includes a kill switch, double-hop routing and a trial offer.

Avast's current VPN page presents Premium VPN as the new name for SecureLine. Its documented controls include a kill switch for a dropped connection and routing through two servers. Compare the exact client controls if you already use Avast software, because platform features differ.

The offer covers Windows, Mac, Android and iOS on up to ten devices. The advertised 60-day Avast One with Premium VPN trial requires payment details; the FAQ says billing begins after the trial. Check that bundle and renewal condition before treating it as a free download with no later charge.

Avast's VPN policy says originating IP addresses, DNS queries and browsing history are not sent to its servers. It still describes operational data: server service data is retained for eighteen months, and client errors, internal identifiers and reports have their own processing. A crash report you choose to send can include personal information and connect it to service data.
