What it does

Awario monitors brand and topic terms across supported social and web sources, collecting matching mentions into alerts. Account registration starts a no-card trial, followed by monthly or annual paid access. If you do not subscribe, the trial account expires and its data is kept for only 14 more days.

Awario has two different result limits: the number of new mentions found each month and the number retained within an alert. When stored history fills, new results replace the oldest. CSV export requires Pro or Enterprise, which matters when a study needs to preserve results beyond the stored-history limit.

For an ambiguous company name, use Boolean search to combine terms and exclude unrelated mentions. Boolean queries can account for word order, case, special characters and the distance between terms. Combine the brand with a product term and exclude unrelated meanings, then inspect the first results before using the alert for a recurring report. Languages can be specified by keyword and URLs can be included or excluded.

An alert is the query and a mention is one matching result. Separate the brand, competitor and industry questions when they need different interpretation. After registration, select a project preset and supply the brand, topic and excluded keywords, or choose an empty project to configure searches yourself. Start search begins collection; the gear icon in the left panel reopens the settings.

Starter allows three topics, 30,000 new mentions per month and 5,000 stored mentions per topic. The Australian-dollar tariff lists Starter at AUD 75 per month, or AUD 45 per month with annual billing. Create the trial account with an email address; no card is required. If you do not subscribe, the account expires without a charge, and Awario deletes it after a further 14 days.

Strengths

  • Boolean controls help distinguish an ambiguous brand from unrelated discussion
  • Separate alerts preserve the purpose of each monitored topic

Watch out for

  • Stored-result limits eventually replace older mentions
  • CSV export requires Pro or Enterprise
  • Trial data is deleted 14 days after an account expires

Best for

  • Brand teams needing a precise query for an ambiguous product or company name
